Proposed Project Scope
The Leadership Walton Class of 2025–2026 proposes the construction of a goat shelter and enrichment structures to support the care and wellbeing of animals currently on-site, while also incorporating community art, student engagement, and nonprofit collaboration.
Project Components
- Goat Shelter Construction
- 10’x20’ lean-to style shelter with walls on 3 sides and raised floor.
- Roof height of 8’ on high side.
- Designed to accommodate up to 10 goats Durable, weather-resistant structure suitable for year-round use
Goat Enrichment Features
- Construction of three (3) wooden goat perches
Artistic Community Mural (Plaque Alternative)
- Each exterior side of the shelter will be painted as a collaborative mural:
- One side painted by Leadership Walton Class
- One side painted by Seacoast Collegiate High School
- One side painted by Westonwood Ranch participants
- This shared mural will serve as a living plaque, symbolizing collaboration, inclusion, and community investment.
Shelter & Wood Perch Details
- Exact location on the ranch: behind the greenhouse inside the goat pen.
- Tear down exisiting goat pen.
- Wood perches: location would be to the right of the goat pen. For the additional two goats inside the Alpaca pen.
